ONLINE LESSONS
All you need is a device for a video call. It can be a phone, tablet, laptop or desktop. As for the video chat platform we can use your choice of FaceTime, Facebook video chat, Zoom, WhatsApp video chat, or Instagram video chat.
I use an electric drum set to demonstrate the patterns for them to see, to play call-and-response games, and to jam along with them to their favorite songs. I also use an electric keyboard to teach students how to jam with other musicians.
PERSONALIZED PLAYLISTS

Together we create an iTunes playlist along with a YouTube playlist, so that they get to learn the beats to their favorite songs and can watch videos of drummers playing their favorite songs.
MUSICAL NOTATION
I text/email my students their sheet music, so that they can print it out or read it from their screen.
I also show them the music on my end to walk them through it note for note.
DELAY GAME
The delay game challenges students to compensate for the delay by starting their pattern a beat early. This gets more difficult as the tempo increases because it might be necessary to start 2 beats early.
